The area of Hersonissos consists of several small villages, Hersonissos itself is a bustling resort at with plenty of bars, tavernas and nightclubs, it has become a Mecca for the young & lively during the peak season. There is an attractive harbour and waterfront lined with numerous bar and restaurants.

 

The pictureresque villages of Koutouloufari and Piskopiano with their brilliantly whitewashed houses and narrow winding streets are situated in the hills above Hersonnissos with pleasant views of the coastline.

 

The main beach at Hersonnissos is long and narrow with sand and shingle; there are also several small sandy beaches along the coast, while a number of lovely small coves can be found both to the west and to the east of the resort.
